The museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts and documents that tell the story of Jewish life in Hungary, from the Middle Ages to the present day. We'll learn about the rich history of the Jewish community in Budapest, and the significant contributions they've made to Hungarian culture.
From there, we'll take a short walk to the Rumbach Street Synagogue, another beautiful example of Moorish Revival architecture. This synagogue was built in the 19th century and has recently been restored to its former glory.
We'll also visit the Holocaust Memorial Center, which is dedicated to the memory of the thousands of Hungarian Jews who perished during the Holocaust. The center offers a poignant and informative look at this tragic period in history, as well as a moving tribute to the survivors.
